The PTO provides funding to every grade and every classroom at Baker. Through the generous donations of Baker families, EVERY student's educational experience is enriched. The Annual Fund, the PTO's biggest and most important fundraiser, has set two major goals for this year -- to raise $40,000 in support of its general budget and to achieve 100% family participation. How Your Donation Is Used

56% for Classroom and Teacher Support (includes money spent by teachers and the Principal/VP directly on students and classrooms through annual September seed money and ongoing grants)
25% for Student Programs (includes Library Committee for Literary Events, Jazz Enrichment, Science Nights, Arts Council, Homework Center, Grades 7/8 Play and similar)
11% for Baker Community Events (includes Convocation for Students, Fall Welcome Breakfast Events, Teacher Appreciation Luncheon, Graduation, other ongoing events)
8% Administrative and Operating Costs providing improved ongoing communication to parents

In 2011, The Baker PTO partnered with Amerasport, a Baker-parent owned company, to offer a variety of t-shirts, sweats, and other apparal bearing out retro "1938" logo. CLICK HERE to purchase your gear online. A portion of all proceeds benefits our PTO.

Participate in Fundraising Events and Activities

Targeted Gifts (in development)

PTO is working with the School to develop ways that targeted gifts can be made. Please email bakerpto@gmail.com if you are interested in learning more.

The Baker School PTO is a 501 (c) 3 organization and is considered tax exempt by the IRS. Cash donations cannot be accepted by the Baker PTO. By IRS law, all donations over $200 will be acknowledge by a letter from the Baker PTO. This letter serves as a legal receipt of your donation and should be saved in your tax files. otherwise, your credit card statement or canceled check can be used as proof of donation in smaller amounts.
