Welcome back Baker families! We hope you all had a great summer and we extend a warm welcome to new families in our school. Here's an update of changes to our site:
- Notably, we are providing Room Parents with a Handbook download that will guide you through the experience and give you more support. One of our goals this year is to have Room Parents work more closely with PTO to publicize the amazing grade activities and special events we saw happening last year. Fundraisers, performances, athletics... let us help you build support across the grades for what your kids are doing! - Also, to make this site work more collaboratively with the Baker School site, we have eliminated the separate PTO Calendar. We will still list important dates (and remind you via the newsletter!), but the Master Calendar will be maintained by the school and we will link to it from our site.

These Events Are Coming Up...
- Sept 7/8 - BooHoo Yahoo Coffee for PreK and K Parents 8AM in the Auditorium
- Sept 7 - First Day of School
- TBA - Convocation
- Sept 14 - Back to School Breakfast 7:15AM on the Upper Playground
- Sept 21 - PTO meeting for all parents 8AM in the Library
- Oct 1 - Party for Parents at the Vine Ripe Grill 8PM-11PM

...Can You Lend a Hand?
Can you: meet and greet new parents at the BooHoo Yahoo, set-up or clean-up at the Back to School Breakfast (you're going to be there anyway so why not sign up?) or help deliver treats to the classes for Convocation (it's right after dropoff!)? Let us know at bakerpto@gmail.com.
Homework Center News
PTO will once again sponsor the ever-popular Baker Homework Center, available to 4th and 6th graders. When enrolling, a small donation will be requested to cover the costs of supplies. Enrollment forms will be available soon online and printed out in the Office. Visit the Homework Center page for more.
