Dear Baker Families,
Welcome back to Baker (or welcome if you’re a new family)!
As in past years, we are asking for your donations to the Baker PTO Annual Fund to help us continue to support a wide range of academic and community enrichment programs. Your generous support provides funding to every grade and every classroom. In order to meet our costs, we need to raise $40,000 during this year’s Annual Fund.
The Baker community is vibrant and diverse – we are the second largest elementary school in Brookline, and a third of our families speak English as a Second Language. The mission of the Baker PTO is to support our teachers and families by:
! supporting school-related activities (over half our budget directly supports teachers through September seed money and ongoing grants)
! promoting communication between home & school (including welcome events, family & parent activities, and frequent web communications)
! identifying and responding to issues that affect the well-being of our children and families (through supporting ongoing Baker programs, reaching out to new families, and holding monthly meetings to keep everyone informed of the issues that affect our community)
Please see the attached Donation Form and make your contribution ($100 suggested per child) by November 1st to help us meet our fundraising goals. Your donation to the Annual Fund is tax deductible. No gift is too small or too large!
