There was a discussion about the minutes.
There was a review of the upcoming parent meetings about space. It was noted that there was no discussion about the potential OLS relocation at the October Site Council meeting.
The community chats were discussed. Ideas and speakers were reviewed with tentative dates and topics of 1/13/15 to discuss raising children with resiliency and grit and 3/24 as possibly technology and public safety and other concerns in a digital age.
The SIP goals were discussed. There was a review of MCAS performance and a discussion about MCAS scores and performance translate into classroom instruction. The variability of MCAS performance based on how a student performed on MCAS days was discussed.
There was a discussion on staffing. It was noted that roughly the same number of math (1.7) and literacy (2.2) specialists for intervention had remained essentially the same during the rapid enrollment in the schools, with Baker’s enrollment now at 824 students.
